I have been having a lot of experience and learning about foreign culture. Also my English skills have been improving since I came to Calgary. When I came to Calgary, I didn't like talking to someone because I didn't have confidence to speak English. But, now I enjoy speaking English with my friends and host family because I have learned a lot of things in this program and my host family encouraged me to speak English every day. Thanks to everyone, I could have confidence. I'm going to continue to study English even after coming back to Japan and I want to get a job that I can make use of my English skills.
We have 2 weeks only, but I hope we will have a good time and pass the final exams.

On July 1, many events will be held in downtown. You can enjoy watching music concert and fireworks. People celebrate Canada's 149th birthday. I will join this party with my friends and enjoy Canada Day!!
I've been trying to eat new foods since I came to Calgary. What surprised me most was eating raw vegetables like carrots, broccoli, and celery and dip them in Hummus. The first day when I came to Calgary, my host mother gave a plate that many vegetables and Hummus are put on to me and I tried it. It taste was not good. I couldn't eat any more. In my country, we usually eat cooked vegetables so I was confused. However, I could learn foreign culture.

In Janan, there are many rules on the subway. However, almost all the rules are unwritten because they are common ways of behaving in Japan. For exanple, poeple don't make a call, speak loudly, and leave your garbage. Also, they have to make a line when you wait for a train to come and wait for passengers to exit before getting on.

I use c-train and bus everyday. I think c-train riders are polite and have good manners. They give their seats to priority passengers and move out of their way when someone get off the train. However, there are some rude people who don't follow the rules. They put their feet on the seats and speak loudly. Thus, they need to think about each other. I think we don't need more rules, because if we make more rules, people will not follow them.
